Loi Krathong Lantern Festival
During the 12th month, full moon in Thailand, the Loi Krathong Lantern Fest takes place across the country. The name is translated to “float ritual”, during the holiday people both float decorated lanterns down the river to thank Goddess Khongkha, a goddess of water and the rivers. Floating lanterns are also released during this holiday, lighting up the night sky with lanterns.
